The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, often shortened to simply Vanquish, was designed in 1995 by Ian Callum, and is a grand tourer manufactured by Aston Martin. It rose to fame after being featured as the official James Bond car in Die Another Day, the twentieth James Bond film. In the film, the Vanquish has the usual Bond film embellishments, including active camouflage which rendered the vehicle virtually invisible, giving it the nickname "the Vanish".<br />

It is expected to be discontinued after the 2007 model year. The Aston Martin DBS V12 will temporarily replace it atop Aston's lineup until the Vanquish's true successor model is introduced in 2010[1]. (The Vanquish is Aston Martin's flagship vehicle).
